Located in northwest Calgary Banff Trail was developed in 1910 and the community association was organized in 1955. Its convenient location offers easy access to the Alberta College of Art, Confederation Park, Foothills and Alberta Children’s Hospitals, McMahon Stadium, Foothills Athletic Park, the University of Calgary, Motel Village, Banff Trail LRT station and Downtown Calgary.
Boundaries of the community consist of Morley Trail, Cochrane Road and Canmore Road to the north, 19 Street, 24 Avenue and 18 Street to the east, 16 Avenue to the south and Crowchild Trail to the West.
