Monterey Park is a community in Calgary’s northeast located on the east edge of the city. The land was annexed by the city between 1979 and 1983, the community was established in 1985. It is named for the city of Monterey Park, California and the community has a Californian theme with street names and building styles.
Boundaries of the community are McKnight Boulevard to the north, Stoney Trail to the east, 16 Avenue to the south and 68 Street to the west.
